M.A.C. Me Over

“MAC ME OVER” is a social-centric activation for MAC cosmetics where the audience is the content – the objects, not subjects of the campaign.

Through an interactive microsite, MAC were able to invite their online community to express themselves through film or image and text. From the thousands of personal “MAC ME OVER” messages, MAC will select one participant to become the face of the MAC ME OVER cosmetics line.

Technically, we created several ways in which people could contribute content. We supported video and photo/text submissions via a standalone application, webcam, and upload. The curatorial system we developed allowed the moderation team to simply rate submissions, determining their prominence within the online experience.

On the day of launch, the site received 1200 entries.
